NAKBA II FOMENTS ANTISEMITIC VIOLENCE

I am sorry to see that violence against Jews who may actually condemn what Israel is doing is more likely to take place after Israel's cruel brutalization of the Palestinian people in general and now the terrible massacres in Gaza. Ironically, Israel's policy of isolating Palestinians from Israelis has led to a Palestinian youth who know Jews only as people carrying guns, beating old women and shooting children at will.
Israel's apartheid system can only serve to polarize the situation. Opening the border crossings throughout Palestine and Gaza may carry some risks but they are, I believe, risks of a much lower order than the terrible slaughter we see in Gaza today.

Israel's one hundred eyes for an eye practices seem meant to exacerbate anti-semitic violence. Israel's disproportionate violence and the making of Gaza into a hell for some years now is reprehensible. Of course this can hardly help young Jews identify with Judaism if they confuse the positive side of Judaism with the imperialist and subimperialist practices using supposedly religious words without any real understanding of the heart of Judaism.

Israel, like the United States, needs to stop using violence like it is a panacea. Both nations seem to find it possible to utter pseudoreligious nonsense in order to justify war and massive violence against other nations. Yet neither nation is entitled to slaughter because of some divine plan.

Nor is it reasonable to imprison starve and otherwise deprive the 1.4 million residents of Gaza in order "national security".

National security is based primarily on mutual respect and this means respect for the human rights of the peoples of all nations involved. Yet we see national security defined so irresponsibly, so irrationally and so oppressively that the deeds are frankly imperialistic and the acts of a conquering invader; pure offense and very little defense.

Fortunately more and more Jews here in the United States and Europe are starting to criticise Israel because of this obvious extremism and this will help portray some of the political diversity that actually exists but is usually hidden due to intimidation from right wing zionists.

WE OPPOSE THE MASSACRE IN GAZA AND THE WAR ON PALESTINE

The kind of mass slaughter of civilians that is taking place in Gaza as I write may be a crucial turning point for United States and European opinions about Israel. This would be all for the better if it would cajole that rogue nation from violating the rights of others and in this case committing crimes against peace, war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The leaders of Israel should be brought before a reconstituted Nuremberg Tribunal. They would be prosecuted in a similar fashion as the NAZI war criminals were. After all Israel is just another nation and should not be excluded from the rule of law.

Of course many Jews and Christians are among the most eloquent opponents of these crimes by the state of Israel. Unfortunately such crimes may be blamed on all Jews by some and thus increase anti-semitism and the danger to Jews. I don't like that. Do you?

Left in the Reeds

After a little research I see that the so called Jewish Center is the Chabad Lubovitch House almost at the southern tip of the peninsula upon which Mumbai rests.


Having heard of the ruthlessness of the attackers I held out little hope for those hostages that might have been held in the Naiman House. The Rabbi and his wife were among those murdered. The picture of this lovely couple somehow touched my heart. I know they are but among more than a hundred killed in the multi-pronged attack but the story of these religious people made the tragedy small scale enough for me to comprehend emotionally. I simply wept.

Fortunately their son Moshe was saved and he is well named. He was left in the reeds and survived.

Does Someone Want War Between India and Pakistan?

I want to condemn the attacks in Mumbai and in particular to note that religious war is a crazy idea! It is wrong to attack the Jewish Center because of a hatred of Jews or because of some sort of religious fanaticism.

We need to try and move beyond religious warfare.

Hopefully this sort of attack by those who declare they are doing it for some religious reason will not lead to communal violence against Muslims in India. Hopefully this will not lead to an escalation of hostilities between India and Pakistan.

Who, if anyone, would benefit between a full scale war between India and Pakistan?

NAZI AND NEONAZI INFLUENCE NEEDS TO BE EXPOSED AND REMOVED

I was pleased to find this extensive web page about the history of Nazism and how it relates to the use of the Nazi SS Totenkopf emblem by Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

I was aware that Schwarzenegger had described his father as a village policemen or something to that effect. This blog suggests, I think quite
appropriately, otherwise!

The mediocrity of evil does not dilute the evil done. It only makes that evil more vile and idiotic than it already was.

The blog is also a good education about some of the less discussed aspects of the Hitler Nazi ideology. While I realize Nazism can evolve into all sorts of less virulent things that call themselves Nazi I do not think we can expect delicious fruit to form from this poisonous weed.

Evil is as often mediocre and unassuming as it is obvious.

WE ARE BACK AND WE ARE NOT ROBOTS

For a while there this blog was down, why? I really don't know. I once heard a very egotistical Google dude talking about how to manipulate human behavior without being too obvious. So is that what we are dealing with here? Somehow some of the more controversial things I publish seem to get taken off the net for a while. They say they think I am a robot, a spam robot. This is generally original content friends and yes, I use the resources offered by the Google Account.

I am thankful to be back, even if I am suspicious of the less than transparent Google review.

A little human contact might go a long way to keep people using Google Accounts happy.

On the other hand the problem may be a little four letter word like c...
r....a....p? Or was it the word s-p-i- ...t?

I don't know why this blog was flagged or even if it was flagged by someone. Maybe they just thought it was a bot doing the writing. Yeah,
they use bots and I guess it may be a problem, but I have no reason to replace myself with a bot. I'm just a blogger with a wet brain, no computer chips here.
